Monday Night Meetings
Each summer The Good Life Center hosts a series of speakers on important topics of the day. For 2009 The Good Life Center is pleased to be partnering with Reversing Falls Sanctuary in Brooksville as the site of our Monday Night Meetings. The 2009 Summer Schedule is available here.
Hands-On Workshops
Throughout the summer and fall, The Good Life Center offers instructional workshops that teach practical skills andinspirepeople to act responsibly and with purpose in their own lives. Hands-on workshops cover a wide variety ofhomesteadand simple living basics, such how to grow nutritious food, create lower-impact shelters, and care for the natural world around you. Hands-On Workshops are offered on most Saturdays from June to September. The 2008 Summer Schedule is available here.
Weekend packages are available and include organic and vegetarian meals, tent site, foraging and wild gathering, meditation yurt, access to hiking and biking trails and beautiful Penobscot Bay, and more. The Good Life Center is also located ½ mile from Eliot Coleman’s Four Season Farm farmstand, open Monday to Saturday from mid-June to mid-September.

GRUB! Dinner Parties
Part dinner party, part discussion group, the GLC’s GRUB! dinners are a place to whet ones appetite for seasonal food and to have thoughtful discussions about important issues of the day. For a small donation, The Good Life Center provides homemade organic soup, bread, and a seasonal green salad for your group, delivered to your location or hosted at Forest Farm. We can facilitate a discussion or meeting, provide a workshop or brainstorming session, or show one of a number of films we have relating to social and environmental justice. The Good Life Center has a number of films on creating just and sustainable food systems that are excellent for school groups. GRUB! dinners are great for reading groups, church groups, staff development, or friends and neighbors interested in learning more about our world today.

Good Life Center Concert Series
An ongoing musical series highlighting talented and passionate musicians from near and far. The cost for the Good Life Center Concert Series is a sliding scale. Check our website or call for each event.
Learning to Grow Your Food (LTGYF)
Learning to Grow Your Food is a six-week course for the beginner gardener and the not-yet gardener. Classes are held once a week for six weeks and include hands-on training and written materials. The Good Life Center also offers assistance locating garden space for those who would like to grow some of their own food but do not have the space. The cost for each class is a sliding scale, $5-$15. Scholarships are available so please call if you cannot afford to pay. All proceeds will support the GLC’s educational programs. Please register for one or all classes by February 1.
Barra Homestead
The Barra homestead in East Corinth, Vermont is the former homestead ofrenowned mountaineers Guy and Laura Waterman. The Watermans deeded theirproperty to The Good Life Center, which provides an opportunity to homestead to long-term stewards. Current Barra residents Rowan and Adam welcome visitors by appointment.
